This ingenious device is a member of the rotary positive-displacement pump family, expertly designed to transport liquids by leveraging the volumetric changes between the screw and the bushing within the suction and discharge chambers.
Composition: At the heart of our design lies a bushing (stator) with a double-helix cavity, perfectly complemented by a single-helix screw that meshes seamlessly with the stator cavity, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Working Principle

The screw features a single-start thread, with each cross-section forming a perfect circle of radius R. The center of this section resides on the helix, slightly off the screw's axis by an eccentricity e, creating a dynamic spiral as it rotates around the axis and moves axially.
The bushing's inner surface showcases a double-thread design. Each cross-section is an elegant oblong circle, with semicircles of radius R at both ends and a 4e straight-line segment in the middle, ensuring efficient fluid dynamics.
Installed in the bushing, the screw creates closed chambers between its surface and the bushing's inner-thread surface. Each cross-section divides into two crescent-shaped working chambers. As the screw turns, the first chamber near the suction chamber expands, generating negative pressure and drawing liquid in. The chamber then closes, propelling the liquid axially towards the discharge chamber. This alternating action ensures a continuous, smooth flow of liquid from suction to discharge chamber.
