Operation Principle

Feeding Stage

The material (liquid, semi-liquid, or slurry) is fed into the grinding chamber via a hopper or pipeline under controlled flow.
Rotor-Stator Interaction

A high-speed rotor (3,000–10,000 RPM) rotates against a stationary stator, creating a narrow adjustable gap (typically 0.01–5 mm).
The material passes through this gap, subjected to intense hydraulic shear, turbulence, and impact forces, breaking down particles to micron-level fineness (2–50 μm).
Shearing Mechanism

Primary shear: Generated by the velocity difference between the rotor and stator surfaces.
Secondary shear: Occurs as the material is forced through the micro-gap, further reducing particle size.
Tertiary effects: Centrifugal force throws particles outward, recirculating them for multi-pass processing.

Emulsification & Homogenization

Immiscible liquids (e.g., oil-water) are uniformly dispersed into stable emulsions.
Agglomerates are de-clustered into monodisperse distributions.
Discharge & Cooling

Processed material exits through a tangential discharge port, ensuring zero residue.
An optional water-cooled jacket maintains temperature control for heat-sensitive products.
