Definition: The single-screw pump, often referred to as a helical rotor pump or mono pump, is a masterpiece of rotary positive-displacement technology. It elegantly transports liquids through the dynamic volumetric changes between the screw and bushing in both the suction and discharge chambers, ensuring seamless and efficient fluid movement.
Composition: This ingenious pump features main working components comprising a bushing, or stator, with a double-helix cavity and a single-helix screw that intricately meshes with the stator cavity, creating a harmonious synergy for optimal performance.

Working Principle

The screw is designed with a single-start thread, and any cross-section of it reveals a circular form with a radius R. The center of this cross-section lies on a helix and is offset from the screw's axis by an eccentricity e, forming a graceful spiral as it rotates around the axis, advancing axially.
The bushing's inner surface boasts a double-thread, and its cross-section is an oblong circle, featuring semicircles of radius R, matching the screw's cross-section radius, at both ends, with a straight-line segment of length 4e in the middle, offering robust support and efficiency.
Upon installation of the screw within the bushing, closed chambers emerge between the screw surface and the bushing's inner-thread surface. Each cross-section divides into two crescent-shaped working chambers. As the screw rotates, the volume of the initial working chamber near the suction chamber expands, creating negative pressure. This pressure difference draws liquid into the chamber. With continued screw rotation, the chamber's volume peaks, closes, and the liquid is propelled axially towards the discharge chamber. Simultaneously, the upper and lower working chambers alternately intake and discharge liquids, ensuring a continuous flow from the suction to the discharge chamber along the axial line.

A single pump can achieve 5pa, and can be seamlessly integrated with Roots and molecular pumps to form an advanced oil-free unit with superior vacuum capabilities.

The performance remains steadfast and unaffected by water and ambient temperatures, ensuring consistent vacuum degree and pumping rate.
Overcurrent components like the pump chamber and screw rotor can be coated with nickel phosphorus and Hastelloy alloy, providing resistance against corrosive media. This makes the pump ideal for chemical and pharmaceutical processes such as product distillation, drying, and degassing.
Extracted gases are discharged directly from the pump body without environmental pressure, simplifying gas solvent recovery.
Cleaning is straightforward. If dirt infiltrates the pump chamber, simply open the suction and exhaust ports. Start the pump and introduce water or a cleaning agent via the suction port to cleanse the pump without needing to dismantle it entirely.
