Definition: Introducing the single-screw pump, also known as the helical rotor or mono pump, a remarkable member of the rotary positive-displacement pump family. This innovative pump masterfully transports liquids through the volumetric interplay between the screw and the bushing within the dynamic suction and discharge chambers.
Composition: At the heart of this engineering marvel are its primary components: a bushing (stator) with a sophisticated double-helix cavity, and a single-helix screw that seamlessly meshes with the stator cavity, ensuring flawless operation.

Working Principle

The screw is designed with a single-start thread, and every cross-section forms a perfect circle with radius R. Ingeniously, the center of each cross-section aligns on the helix but veers slightly off the screw's axis by an eccentricity e, sculpting a captivating spiral as it rotates and advances axially.
The bushing's inner surface boasts a double-thread design. Each cross-section manifests as an elongated circle, featuring semicircles of radius R at both ends and a straight-line segment of length 4e in-between, creating an elegant contour.
Upon installation, the screw and bushing form hermetically sealed chambers between the screw's surface and the bushing's inner-thread surface. Each cross-section divides into two crescent-shaped working chambers. As the screw spins, the first chamber near the suction area expands, generating a negative pressure that draws in liquid. With continued rotation, this chamber reaches its maximum volume, seals off, and propels the liquid axially towards the discharge zone. Simultaneously, the upper and lower chambers alternately engage in suction and discharge, ensuring a seamless flow of liquid from the suction to the discharge chamber.
