Operation Principle

Feeding Stage

In the feeding stage, the material—be it liquid, semi-liquid, or slurry—is introduced into the grinding chamber through a hopper or pipeline, ensuring a controlled and consistent flow.
Rotor-Stator Interaction

The heart of the colloid mill is the high-speed rotor, spinning at an impressive 3,000 to 10,000 RPM against a stationary stator, creating a precisely adjustable gap, usually between 0.01 and 5 mm.
As materials journey through this expertly engineered gap, they are subjected to intense hydraulic shear, turbulence, and impact forces, achieving micron-level particle fineness of 2 to 50 μm.
Shearing Mechanism

The primary shear force is generated by the velocity difference between the opposing surfaces of the rotor and stator—a testament to cutting-edge engineering.
Secondary shear comes into play as the material is compelled through the micro-gap, further refining particle size to microscopic levels.

Emulsification & Homogenization

Discharge & Cooling
